Why does video compression take longer on older laptops or phones?
Because video compression executes locally via WebAssembly FFmpeg inside your browser rather than on a remote cloud server, conversion speed is determined by your device's CPU power and core count. Modern laptops typically encode a 60-second clip in 15-30 seconds.
Are my files ever stored or viewed by TargetCompress?
Never. TargetCompress has no backend storage or file database. Your documents and pictures stay inside your device's temporary memory sandbox and are purged immediately when you close or refresh the tab.
